CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

On-going research program on the democratic process in the United States intended todevelop systematic theon’ about the representational activities of members ofthe U.S. Congress. The work in progress especially explores how “models” of representationlike the belief sharing, delegate, responsible party, and trustee ones can be used tocharacterize constituency representation in individual Congressional districts.

I also write occasionally on scientific literacy. The most recent published work on this topicis a journal article in PS: Political Science & Politics that proposes a fundamental body ofknowledge that University educated individuals should know to be scientifically literate inpolitical science.
