Annie Leibovitz

  American   photographer.   She   was   the   first   woman   to   exhibit  his  work  at  the  Na8onal  Portrait  Gallery  in  Washington  DC  and  the   last   to   portray   the  musician   John   Lennon   before   he  was  assassinated  in  1980.  

   is  the  highest  paid  photographer  in  the  world  and  has  worked  for  magazines  such  as  Vanity  Fair,  Rolling  Stone  and  Vogue.  In  1984   he  was   honored   by   the   American   Society   of  Magazine  Editors  as  a  photographer  of  the  year.  In  1988  he  received  the  Clio  Award  for  the  adver8sing  campaign  for  American  Express.  In   April   2000,   the   Library   of   Congress   gave   him   the   8tle   of  "Living   Legend."   In   2005,   American   Photo   Magazine   named  the  most  influen8al  photographer  of  our  8me.  In  May  2013  he  was  awarded  the  Prince  of  Asturias  Award  for  Communica8on  and  Humani8es.

  Is   a   photographer   and   director,   whose   work   is   to   present  carateriza  grotesquely  glamorous  images.  

  His   style   is   unique   and   recognizable   works   with   open  floorplans,   fresh  and  extremely  colorful  scenes  showing  their  pop-­‐art   style.   His   shots   have   a   thorough   and   detailed   work,  working   with   the   physical   aspect   of   the   character   taking   it  almost   to   caricature.   "I   try   to   take   pictures   you   have   never  seen   before,"   says   LaChapelle.   Talented   crea8ve   play   with  fic8onal   and   grotesque   scenes   mostly   ar8ficial   and   has   an  excellent  produc8on,   the   images  are  generally  at   the  8me  of  the  decision,  with   li\le  post-­‐produc8on.  We  can  also   see  his  work   in   the   cri8cism   of   the   society   in   which   we   live   full   of  excesses  and  vanity.

  He  worked  as  a  war  photographer  between  1961  and  1964  in  the  Vietnam  War.  In  1967  he  decided  to  work  as  a  freelance  photographer  and  became  the  official  photographer  of  City  Walls  Inc.  acer  Cooper  studied  sculpture  at  the  School  of  Fine  Arts  in  Brooklyn  where  he  earned  a  bachelor  of  arts  degree  in  1974  Acer  the  Columbia  University  granted  him  a  grant  finished  his  studies  at  the  University  of  New  Mexico  in  Albuquerque

  His  photos  ocen  involve  thems  things  as  death,  sex,  bodies    and  people  like  dwarfs,  s  or  people  with  physical  deformi8es.  Its  complex  tableauxs  ocen  evoke  biblical  passages  or  famous  pain8ngs.  This  transgressive  nature  of  his  art  has  shocked  public  opinion  and  provoked  repeatedly  being  accused  of  operator  and  has  been  marginalized  as  an  ar8st  on  several  occasions.    

  His  approach  to  the  physical  process  of  photography  is  highly  intui8ve  including  stain  or  scratch  the  nega8ve  and  prin8ng  technique  with  hands  on  chemical.
