New Referral Group Possible Due to Success of Pilot

A second general referral group akin to the popular Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) Business Alliance is under consi-deration for a summer start after the success of the pilot program begun by PACC just over 2 years ago

PACC started the pilot program a business-to-business referral group in response to comments made by some members asking for more avenues for businesses who do busi-ness with other businesses to benefit from their Chamber membership

Suzanne Tucker of One Stop Graphics who had started referral group programs at the San Francisco and Alameda Chambers of Commerce worked closely with Onita Pellegrini to identify an initial core group that could be expanded upon Thus was born the Petaluma Business Alliance which is now a regular Chamber pro-gram with just over 20 members Like other referral groups only one person is allowed from a given industry

The group meets

once a month at Graffiti Restaurant

over wine and appetizers There is

an agenda but this is not a rigidly

structured format as are some

referrals groups Nonetheless their

numbers are impressive ndash over

$802000 in business done 204

referrals passed 191 one-one-one

meetings average referral of $3931

ROI to members of 99 to 1

Members who are interested

in what many believe is the best

way to get new business ndash by

referral ndash can contact PACC CEO

Onita Pellegrini about the possibility

of a second group
