HistoryPerfume is a mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds, fixatives, and solvents used to give the human body, animals, objects, and living spaces "a pleasant scent." The odoriferous compounds that make up a perfume can be manufactured synthetically or extracted from plant or animal sources.Perfumes have been known to exist in some of the earliest human civilizations, either through ancient texts or from archaeological digs. Modern perfumery began in the late 19th century with the commercial synthesis of aroma compounds such as vanillin or coumarin, which allowed for the composition of perfumes with smells previously unattainable solely from natural aromatics alone.

Reasoning

• From the above pie chart we can say that packaging is the most important factor in deciding which fragrance to buy.

• Fragrances with good and catchy packing is generally preferred by people.

• Shape of the perfume is preferred by those people who might use the band of perfume to boasting and flaunting purposes.

• Colour is not that important but is usually considered by small number of people.

• The survey says that people use the perfume ranging from Rs.1000-Rs.3000 because they believe in brand image and most of the famous perfumes lie in this range.

• The range from Rs.100-Rs.500 is least preferred because very less variety is available in this range.

• And we can also see that perfumes in the range Rs.3000 and above are preferred less because of its high cost.

• The data states that most of the people like to buy perfumes from The Departmental store. This is because in the departmental Store large variety of perfumes are available along with other products.

• In Departmental store many offers are available along with various on going promotions.

• Online shopping is generally less preferred by people because of more time taken for delivery and lack of assurance of delivery.

• Secondly, people should also have credit card or debit card to purchase online.

• Exclusive Showrooms are always preferred by people who want to buy a particular brand exclusively. Hence exclusive showrooms are less preferred as compared to Departmental store.
