The TRUMPF principle of modularity

Like all TRUMPF OR tables, the MARS table is modularly

designed allowing configuration with interchangeable

components and accessories for virtually any procedure.

This flexibility not only improves work efficiency, but

also reduces costs. There is no need to invest in separate

components for each table model: TRUMPF guarantees

unlimited compatibility among all MARS, JUPITER, TITAN

and TruSystem tables.

This means OR staff only need to become familiar

with one set of components and accessories. For

added safety, the patented coupling points between

the table tops and components are mechanically

coded to prevent conflicting configurations.

Reverse positioning of the table top allows precise motorised

adjustment of the head section

Eight customised basic models

With the choice of eight models, you can select the one

with the right height, which also has the necessary table

top adjustment, and the desired drive. This will turn your

MARS into a perfectly tailored OR table for your working

environment. You will find the technical details on page 18.

For operating in a sitting position, as in ophthalmology,

ear, nose and throat and other disciplines, we recommend

the low version with a minimal height of 600 mm. The

basic version is ideal for use in spinal surgery because it can

be expanded by adding the TRUMPF spinal cord positioning

device. Combined with a Wilson frame, the low version

of MARS is the perfect table for neurosurgery and spinal

surgery.

Functionality for any discipline

We continue to develop and enhance our surgical tables,

components and accessories, taking into account the most

recent advancements in technology and procedures. Due to

its diverse functionality and almost unlimited configuration

options and few manual manoeuvres, the MARS table easily

changes from an all round performer into a specialist.

Simply select the components and positioning accessories

to meet your needs for each procedure. The motorised

longitudinal adjustment permits precise positioning under

the C-arm for inter-operative imaging. For 360 degrees of

x-ray translucency, use our full line of carbon fibre compo-

nents and accessories.

Trendelenburg positioning, tilt and low height adjustment

make MARS an ideal table for minimally invasive surgery.

By connecting the Allen Spinal System to the motorised

joint, MARS becomes a specialist table for cervical and

spinal surgery.

360 kg patient weight capacity

All MARS models are designed for a patient weight of up

to 360 kg including accessories. The electronically driven

joints move the patient smoothly and precisely into the

desired position. Thanks to the motorised drive that is

operated by an added retractable wheel, and the large,

stable dual castors, the MARS table is easy to manoeuvre

with heavy patients and on uneven floors.

Intelligent solutions for improved ergonomics

MARS was designed to deliver superior functionality, reliability

and improved ergonomics. The table’s motorised drive makes

the transport of heavy patients easier and is comfortable to

control with the QuickMove operating panel. With its big dual

castors the MARS table is easy to manoeuvre even on uneven

floors.

Additional practical benefits have been incorporated into the

park position: four motorised legs extend to the floor taking

the weight of the table off the wheels, providing absolute

support and stability during the procedure. A further benefit

with this feature is that the wheels rotate freely in this

position, making cleaning easier.

The y-form of the chassis gives you optimal leg and foot free-

dom when the table is in any position. All table functions can

be controlled from various locations: by using the foot switch;

the column panel; the infrared remote control or by using the

cable remote control.

Easy integration into most modern ORs

Digital communication is increasingly making surgeons’ work

easier in more and more ORs. Using its IR interface, you can

comfortably incorporate the MARS table into modern, inte-

grated OR solutions. The control unit functions via the IR code

on a touch screen.
