Feet - Should not be opened at 30 º, but should be closer. This is so that the butt of the rifle can be

aligned with the right side of the boot, at the same time, allow the magazine to face forward

forming a V shape opening at a 30º angle. 2. The left arm remains straight as in basic attention position. 3. Only the toe of the butt is touching the right boot with magazine facing square to

the front. Common Mistakes

Rifle not vertical, with muzzle pointing forward or to left or right

Butt not in line with the seam of the toecap of the boot

1. Force left foot to the ground such that it is shoulder-width apart from the right foot. Click heels, forming a V shape opening at a 30º angle.

2. The left arm remains straight as in basic attention position.

Common Mistakes

Moving the toe of the butt.

Lack of co-ordination between arm and leg

Curling the fingers round the front of the rifle

Take Note Right thumb is supposed to be hidden from view.

Common Mistakes

Clenched fist is placed too low or too high on the left side of the chest.

Right thumb is not hidden from view.

14

Sedia (From pledge taking) Sequence Timing: 1

1. At the timing of “1”, bring the right arm down and at the same time pivot the rifle on the toe of the butt with the right hand gripping the rifle’s muzzle with a V-handgrip.

Timing: Check (No movement) Timing: 1

1. At the last timing of “1”, pull back the rifle to the vertical position using the right hand and cut down the left hand to return to the position of attention via the shortest route.

Take Note Thumb aligned to seam line of skirt Straighten arms, lock elbows, clench fists

Common Mistakes

Failing to keep arms close to body

Rusok Senjata Sequence Timing: 1

1. At the timing “1”, flick the rifle vertically up by using only the right hand wrist. 2. Then simultaneously left arm is at right angles with the left hand seizing the

hand guard with a full handgrip and the right hand seizing the pistol grip. Timing: Check (No movement) Timing: 1

1. At the second timing “1”, pull back the rifle and left arm to the position of attention by the shortest route so that the thumb is touching the leg beside the seam of skirt, Cut down both arms to the side, as in basic attention position

Common Mistakes

Not releasing the rifle soon enough for both hands to seize it at the same time.
