This presentation explores the phenomenon of discrimination—particularly ethnic and racial discrimination—in Latin America, and how individuals per- ceive unfair treatment, and why they might attribute that treatment to eth- nic or racial discrimination. Barry Levitt is an associate profes- sor of political science and international relations at Florida International Univer- sity. Levitt has published a book and a number of articles and is currently work- ing on a book project entitled “Confian- za” Political Institutions and Public Trust in Latin America.
