GI dysfunction and intolerance can compromise patients’ comfort and outcomes, and result in calorie or protein malnutrition.

• Contains high levels of branched-chain amino acids to support muscle synthesis for tissue growth and repair1

• A rich source of cysteine, a precursor to glutathione, to protect against oxidative stress and tissue damage2,3

• Helps to facilitate gastric emptying4

100% Whey Protein to Promote Tolerance and Anabolism

PEPTAMEN®

Designed for Absorption & Tolerance

PEPTAMEN® formulas are designed for absorption and tolerance with smaller, easy-to-absorb peptides.

High proportion of MCT to facilitate fat absorption

More Easy-to-Absorb Peptides

• 50-70% of fat as Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT)

• Directly absorbed into portal circulation to help provide readily available energy5

Smaller peptides, especially di- and tri-peptides are more readily absorbed than free amino acids or larger peptides.6-10

Peptamen formulas have a greater percentage of smaller peptides compared to Vital® formulas.
