Windows 10 Support Drivers and third party libraries have been updated to include support for Windows 10 Enhance Target Box For White Objects The selection target box has been modified to allow for clearer visibility when selection is being made on top of solids and surfaces that are white or extremely light in colour.

5 Axis Laser / Tube-Cutting Enhancements Nesting – Invert MultiNest can now try inverting the orientation of pipe parts along the axis to produce a more compact arrangement where slanted end cuts can be aligned. Nesting – Length Sorting Prioritisation of pipe parts by length has been improved to prevent long parts being cut last. This prevents having to hold a long pipe with a short remainder. Nesting – UI Enhanced The user interface for the MultiNest dialogs has been improved to be more user-friendly. Several VDM files can now be added in a single step using the Browse button. Load Last File After Doing Nest All After performing the Nest All operation, the final nested pipe remains open to allow further editing, post-processing, or simulation. Laser Job Repeats – UI Improved The dialog for adding and editing job repeats has been improved. Repeats are now stored as a point / line / grid of points which makes it easier to modify them.

Model Position Dialog Redesign The model position dialog has been redesigned and its speed improved. It now shows immediately when the model is outside the axis limits.

AutoCut Imprinted Geometry When imprinting geometry such as lines and arcs on to a surface, the new edges are marked so they will be automatically detected for cutting when using AutoCut. Billet Display The initial raw material (billet) for pipe jobs is now shown as a transparent solid. This gives a better idea of the cross section and length of material.

I / H Beam Wing Detection (Imported Models) A new option has been added to use the calculated billet to help detect cuts where "wings" have been removed from I- or H-beams. 3 Axis Cut – Specify Angle Bevel cutting modes (3-axis, weld-cut, bevelling) have been merged into a single dialog. It is now also possible to specify a limit angle to produce bevels better suited to welding or grinding.

Pipe ‘Unfolding’ Function A function has been added to unfold a pipe to produce the original unbent pipe. This can then be cut, bent, and welded. Multiple bends can be unfolded. Options are available to modify the section produced to benefit various situations.

Pipe ‘Fill Holes’ Function A function has been added to fill the cut-out holes on a pipe to produce the original raw material plus any end-cuts. Arrow and Changepoint Size The size of arrows and changepoints on toolpath now scales better as the zoom level is changed. Snapshot File for Helpdesk In the event of a user requiring customer support, it is often difficult to provide all of the information required to reproduce the customer configuration. Snapshot functionality has now been included that allows the user to save post processor, start-up and log information to a single zip file that can be sent to the helpdesk. Fixture NC Nesting Algorithm The nesting of fixture plates for machining is now done using Radnest, which produces a much more efficient arrangement.

Fixture Design – User Defined Colours For Plates The user can now specify which colours to use for parts of the fixture plate design. This allows them to be automatically cut using different strategies or technologies. Fixture Design – DXF Output Now Preserves Figure Colours When outputting a fixture plate to a DXF file, the colours of its component parts are now preserved. This allows them to be used in a 3rd-party application for automatically applying cut strategies or technologies.

Wire EDM Enhancements Customise Billet Colour The user can now specify alternative colours for Wire EDM billet creation from the New Billet dialog

Functionality To Show/Hide Wire Posts On Start-up On Wire EDM systems where multiple post processors are licensed, a mechanism has been put in place to show and hide the post processors shown on start-up.

Makino Technology – Allow Multiple Technology Versions The Makino technology data now includes all previous technology versions and is selection of these is accessible through the post processor configuration dialog.

Makino Technology – Add Step Machining Users of recently released Makino machine tools have the ability to select technology based on a range of material thicknesses to allow for height variations in the workpiece itself. The technology selection mechanism has now been enhanced to allow selection of this ‘step machining’.
