AUTUMN - WINTER 2016

Contemporary Folk

This season we were inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the 20th century,

creating a versatile collection combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Hand woven fabrics include bold stripes, tonal jacquard weaves and soft brushed checks. Alongside are warm

double faced and ribbed jersey fabrics in shades of boysenberry, bark and night sky. Stripes are updated for

the cooler months in winter plum, ice blue and slate, with organic cord in jet black new for this season.

Hand knits are in modern shapes with folk inspired design, featuring Fair Isle, herringbone and ribbon stitch details. Machine knits are updated with cable details and colour blocking, whilst modern embroideries on wovens

combine craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes.

This season’s prints are inspired by our love of the natural world, with floral scribble and autumn tulip prints. Our new migrating bird print on cloud grey

melange and our starry sky print in winter plum are both easy to wear conversationals.

New shapes include relaxed tunics and dresses with deep pockets and tie belts, whilst shirt dresses and

longer lengths reference the 70s era. Outerwear shapes in denim melange and graphite grey include a wrap coat

and tailored jersey jacket.
