N EWS AT L OURDES THANK YOU LOURDES: On behalf of myself and the Amazing Grace dancers, I would like to thank all those Lourdes members that came out on last Sunday, Mother's Day, in support of our annual dance concert. Thank you to all those that bought tickets, placed ads, ushered and worked behind the scenes. A very special thank you, to all the AGYM dancers and parents for your hard work and dedication in this new season, it was an awesome day, and we are so grateful for all your support. I will forever be grateful to Fr. John Adamski who saw dance as a beautiful addition to the worship experience, 15 years ago, and entrusted me to lead. This has been an amazing journey” ~Graciously, Kenya Griffin. LOURDES BOOK CLUB join us for a book discussion on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Panera , Emory Village at 7PM for dinner with the discussion to begin at 7:45PM. Our book selection is Children of the Stone by Sandy Tolan. The book chronicles Ramzi’s journey--from stone thrower to music student to school founder--and shows how through his love of music he created something lasting and beautiful in a land torn by violence and war. It's a story about the power of music, first, but also about freedom and conflict, determination and vision. It’s a vivid portrait of life amid checkpoints and military occupation, a growing movement of nonviolent resistance, the prospects of mu- sical collaboration across the Israeli–Palestinian divide, and the potential of music to help children everywhere see new possibilities for their lives. [Children of the Stone is] a symphony of international locations, big ideas and hu- man dramas . . . a deeply moving parable of struggle and mastery--over an instrument, over painful injustice and ultimately over self.” - Newsweek . This committee consists of Catholics from various parishes who have expertise in vari-ous fields of communications, such as news, social media, and public relations.

THE HAITI COMMITTEE is excited to announce the start of their biggest building project ever for our sister parish, Our Lady of Fatima in La Fosette, Haiti. Through the gracious donations of the Our Lady of Lourdes parish, we are able to fund the building of a Parish Life Center for Our Lady of Fatima. This Center will serve as place for parishioners to meet, have classes, conduct rehearsals, host receptions and other events; much like our parish uses the Katherine Drexel Center here. We ask for your prayers and support for the successful completion of this important project. We will share more information as the build progresses. Thank you for your support!

MAY IS NATIONAL OSTEOPOROSIS AND PREVENTION MONTH: Osteoporosis isn't just a woman's disease . Up to one in four men, over the age 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis.
