The Pennsylvania School Bus Association extends an

invitation to join us at the 2018 Annual Convention

and Trade Show at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.

The PSBA Convention will take place from Sunday June 24,

2018 to Tuesday June 26, 2018. Contractors and School

Transportation Directors will have the opportunity to gain

pertinent information, see new products from vendors, and a

chance to talk to state and federal regulators.

To make this event truly special, we will unveil a safety

initiative spearheaded by the Exceptional Learners

Committee. The E.R.I.C. Program!

Please review the enclosed materials and make your plans to

partners at Pennsylvania’s premier school bus industry

conference and trade show.

The PSBA Annual Convention and Trade Show is the largest school transportation specific event held in Pennsylvania. The convention

includes 15 educational sessions covering three different learning tracks: General, Mechanics and Special Needs/Exceptional Learners. In

addition, this year’s convention offers three different certification opportunities. In addition to our annual three-day course for drivers who

would like to become school bus instructors, we will also be offering certification sessions for car seats and FMCSA Drug and Alcohol

Suspicion Training for Supervisors. The 2018 PSBA Convention is the place to be for you and your team!

Special Events

SUNDAY

Sunday Afternoon Trip There are plenty of options at the ever exciting Seven Springs. The first

option is an afternoon of leisure that will be begin with a tour of Fallingwater, a masterpiece of a

house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Indicate your attendance on the registration

form, and the PSBA will take care of the rest. There is a fee for this trip. If you are more of an

adventure type, you can join us for activities at the resort that includes zip line, alpine slide and a

nature hike. All activity passes must be booked on an individual basis.

Welcome Reception This pre-dinner function is a wonderful way to catch up with friends, old and

new. This reception will take place in the outdoor bus display in a casual atmosphere. All are

welcome.

Sunday Evening Dinner An extension of the Welcome Reception, Sunday Dinner gives you the

opportunity to continue networking over a delicious meal. There is an additional charge for dinner

and pre-registration is required.

Inaugural Safety Grant Recipients to be Announced Keystone Insurers Group and the

Pennsylvania School Bus Association have partnered to sponsor grant opportunities for PSBA

school bus contractor members. These grant awards will provide funds to improve safety of fleet

operations or the services provided to employees or students. Up to $30,000 is available!

The recipient(s) of our inaugural round of grants will be announced during the Sunday BBQ at this

year’s convention. Join us on Sunday and learn more about the innovative projects being

supported through this exciting member program.

LODGING

MONDAY Trade Show/Meet The Vendor One of the premier highlights of the year, join vendors from

across the country while they showcase their products and services. Stick around - there is a

chance you can win a door prize from one of the vendors!

Vendor Cocktail Party Join us back in the Exhibit Hall for a cocktail and light appetizers as

you enjoy a toast with friends before heading into the Annual Banquet Dinner.

Annual Banquet On Monday evening, we recognize family owned business who have

provided student transportation for 25, 50 and 75 years of continuous services. This is a great

time to learn more about the people and culture of the association over a delicious served

dinner.

Community Hospitality Suite Monday night brings everyone together to mingle and enjoy

the company of customers and friends.

TUESDAY

Annual Membership Meeting always held bright and early Tuesday morning. Join us to hear

the committee reports from the past year and plans for the year to come.

Attendees will make their reservations at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort on an individual basis

by calling 800-452-2223. Attendees must ask for the PSBA group block. Reservations by attendees

must be received by May 23, 2018. Room rate: $166.00 per room, per night, plus tax. This rate is for

either single or double occupancy. After the cut-off date, rooms can be booked at the group rate if

available.

SCHOOL BUS INSTRUCTOR COURSE

An annual tradition is to offer the 20-hour School Bus Instructor Course that runs simultaneous with the

conference. Class size is limited to 15 persons, first come, first served and only one registrant per company. Please

check with your local instructor coordinator prior to registering to verify this course will be accepted by your

local IU. PSBA Members only. Taught by Kevin Schofield and Charles Sameck.
