  • The Wharton Charity Fashion Show

The Wharton Charity Fashion Show (WCFS) is an entierly student-run event that combines world-class designers and student models to raise funds for Youthbuild Philadelphia, a local non-profit charter school that provides education and support to underprivileged youth. Last year, our models walked the runway in Michael Kors, Rent the Runway, Warby Parker, Milly, Calypso, Bloomingdales, Anthropologie, and Suit Supply - and many more!

Last years show and after party, WCFS 2015 The Beautiful and the Damned, was one of Whartons most exciting events, drawing over 400 attendees and rasing $12,000 for Youth-build.

  • The Wharton Charity Fashion Show

OUr Design For WCFS 2015Last year was PennDesigns first year of involvement in the Wharton Charity Fashion Show.

With a minimal budget of $100, we designed one outfit, which was a huge hit. We have been invited back to design a full collection of 5-9 pieces for the Spring 2016 event. As future

designers, the PennDesign/Wharton collaboration is an exciting opportunity for us to work interdisciplinarily. We hope that the student council will support our growing initative by

alloting $500 towards material costs for this wearable design collection.
