Alkanol
amine
• Keunggulan alkanolamine yaitu laju absorpsi cepat dan
kereaktifan yang tinggi dengan CO2
• Kelemahan senyawa amine yaitu, panas absorpsi tinggi, tidak
dapat memisahkan senyawa-senyawa mercaptan, konsumsi
energi untuk regenerasi pelarut cukup tinggi, dan bersifat
korosif.
DEA
• Keunggulan larutan DEA yaitu memiliki kecepatan reaksi dengan
CO2 lebih cepat dibanding MDEA serta lebih tidak mudah terurai
dibanding MEA.
• Kelemahan larutan DEA yaitu membutuhkan energi cukup besar
untuk meregenerasi, dapat terdegradasi karena oksigen dan
memiliki volatilitas yang tinggi.
Glycine
• Keunggulan glycine yaitu merupakan senyawa amine primer yang
bersifat reaktif, mempunyai ketahanan terhadap suhu tinggi
sehingga tidak mudah terdegradasi.
