Each package includes on average one pound or more of 3/4" x 3/4" blanks (in various lengths). Olive wood trees from the ancient city of Bethlehem, Israel (also known as Roman trees) have been bearing fruit since the time of the Romans.

Many religious, historical, and artistic articles are made from this beautiful ancient wood. We have a good supply of olive wood pen and wide blanks from a Bethlehem company that specializes in harvesting this wood. Purchase includes certificates of authenticty and labels for your finished projects. Note: No tree was damaged or destroyed in the process of harvesting this wood.

PEN BLANKSThese blanks are made from pressure treated pine that has been stabilized with Resins. The stabilizing process will tend to neutralize many of the chemicals used in pressure treatment. Also, a major danger of machining pressure treated woods is the emission of fine dust particles. The resins from stabilizing will make the dust much heavier and will tend to drop to the surface rather than fly into the air - this will mitigate issues regarding breathing the dust. However, maintain the same precautions that you would in turning or machining any manufactured or laminated woods i.e. wear gloves, eye protection and a breathing mask.
