1. TRADE SHOW IN AMERICA
1. Trade shows in USA have been organized as so called conventions for more than 100 years.
2. Main focus of trade shows in USA - To share experiences and meet up with potential customers.
3. The average duration of trade shows in USA is short.
4. They use an open stand design.
BACKGROUND.
A traditional 10×10 meters custom build stand would require a 7.5 Tons Heavy duty vehicule and 7-8 men to transport and build, which results in a lot of carbon emissions and hassle
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the trade show industry is the second largest producer of waste after the construction industry.
The average two-day event can produce as much waste as a family
of four produces in 15 years.
BACKGROUND.
1. TRADE SHOW IN AMERICA
With the development of a eco-friendly exhibits, banner
stands and related display products, the trade show industry is
reducing its ecological damage.
A growing number of trade show display companies are now specializing in green exhibits, fixtures, signs, LED lighting and display materials that have less impact on the environment.
2. GREEN TRADE SHOW IN AMERICA
PRESENT.
3. THE 3R OF ENVIRONMENT
Every year, Americans throw away
50 billion cans
27 billion glass bottles and jars
65 million plastic and metal covers
3. THE 3R OF ENVIRONMENT
More than 30% ofour wasteis packaging materials
Where does it all go? 85% of our garbage is sent to a dump, or landfill, it can take from 100 to 400 years for things like cloth and aluminum to decompose.
3. THE 3R OF ENVIRONMENT
Glass has been found
in perfect condition
after 4,000 years in the
earth.
3. THE 3R OF ENVIRONMENT
Avoiding the use of wood, especially from unsustainable sources, helps to prevent deforestation whereas using
lightweight aluminum helps to reduce transportation loads and labor.
3. THE 3R OF ENVIRONMENT
We are quickly running out of space. It's time to learn the three R's of the environment: reduce, reuse, recycle:
REDUCELowering the amout of waste produced
REUSEUsing materials repeatedly
RECYCLEUsing materials to make new products
RECOVERYRecovery energy from waste
LANDFILLSave disposal to landfill
coprocessing
3. THE 3R OF ENVIRONMENT
Reducing the amount of waste you produce is the best way to help the environment.REDUCE
Instead of throwing things away, try to find ways to use them again.REUSE
Recycled items are put through a process that makes it possible to create new products out of the materials from the old ones.
RECYCLE

4. THE USE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS IN EXHIBITION
1. Anyone interested in helping the environment should consider green trade show displays.
2. Trade shows attract a large number of attendees, so they allow you to spread the word about your products and services while demonstrating your commitment to the environment.
3. Eco-friendly trade show displays help to conserve energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce water and air pollution, and conserve natural resources.
The use of sustainable materials in exhibition applying the 3R:
1. Buy promotional products in bulk = Less packaging.2. Avoid over-packaged goods; avoid use of paper and plastic. 3. Buy durable aluminum exhibits. They will last longer.4. Avoid disposable goods (plastic cups, napkins, etc).5. Giveaway a USB with eCatalog.6. After exhibition, use electronic mail.7. Use a LED Light instead of fluorescent light.8. Use to clean your exhibit a dish cloth.

4. THE USE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS IN EXHIBITION
REUSE
Aluminum profiles for exhibit can use
many times, furniture too.
Change the design and make different
configuration.
Sell old furniture, exhibit profiles, to other companies, or donate them to
charities.
Ask your producer to remove the graphics and return to you.
Reuse the exhibit again
and again
Reuse profiles in
different ways
Sell old material
Reuse graphics and logo printed
4. THE USE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS IN EXHIBITION
RECYCLE
1. Buy products made from recycled material.
2. Begin collecting materials such as metal cans, newspapers, etc.
3. Purchase recycled materials (office supply, and equipment).
4. Ask store managers for products that help cut down on waste.
5. Buy products made from material that is collected for recycling.
6. Use recycled paper for brochures, copier paper and newsletters.
4. THE USE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS IN EXHIBITION
MULTIPURPOSE TRADE SHOW EXHIBIT
As you invest in an exhibit property and want to make the most out of it. So, what should you do with your trade show display when you’re not at a show?

5. CASES OF GREEN EXHIBITION
Trade Show Emporium encourages recycling the old trade show displays and shipping containers. All of the materials from trade shows can be recycled.
Found that by contacting the local waste management company many of the portions of recycling can be handled on a local level, reducing the amount of transportation costs associated with recycling.
1. The aluminum structures are the finest quality and feature 80% post-consumer recycled content.
2. Use packing foam made from recycled materials in our shipping cases to protect contents in transit.
3. The shipping cartons are made from a combination of recycled.4. They have invested in progressive graphic printing technology that
utilizes eco friendly water based inks.5. The “No Questions Asked” Lifetime Warranty on Instand pop-ups
provides for their unlimited re-use. Should it ever fail to function, Nomadic will repair Instant frames free of charge for the life of its ownership.
5. CASES OF GREEN EXHIBITION
1. Eco-friendly trade show displays are at the core of the company's philosophy.
2. Eco-friendly trade show displays and reusable materials
3. Components that produced using easily and commonly recycled materials including aluminum and cardboard.
4. At the end of an exhibit's life, the clients are invited to return it to Nimlok. They sort the components by content and direct them to the recycle stream, at no additional cost to the client.
5. CASES OF GREEN EXHIBITION
1. Solar generation plants, which feed renewable energy back to the local grid
2. Energy-efficient lighting (LED and CFL technology).
3. Saving Power Energy Management System.
4. A cool roof and light defusing windows (reflect sunlight).
5. Upgraded exhibit hall doors (prevent air conditioning from leaking).
6. Low NOx and CO2 emission steam boilers.

COLORADO CONVENTION CENTER.
6. CASES OF GREEN CONVENTION CENTER
The CCC has single stream recycling throughout the facility and a back of house compost collection program to help minimize the amount of materials hauled to landfills. They have an advanced donation program for left over conference materials. The first year of establishing this program, almost 30,000lbs of materials were donated to the local community.
ORLANDO ORANGE COUNTY.
6. CASES OF GREEN CONVENTION CENTER
The OCCC exemplifies its commitment to environmental stewardship and is nationally recognized for its green initiatives, social responsibility and long-term environmental impact on the community.
Energy Saving Facility Upgrades:• Solar PV System and LED Lighting.• Climate Change Education Center.• 100% Recycled toiletry supplies and 85% recycled trash bags.• Green Sealed Certified for Cleaning Products.
