The MEOW (Mobile Energy Operations Wagon) is a mobile trailer which has six solar panels and is able to carry 4 pedal power bikes within.

The bikes were originally built in 2002 to help provide electricity to small concerts or events. They were created to generate electricity for the batteries in the MEOW if they were depleted.

Pedal Power project was first used at an anti-war protest and shown at a renewable energy fair.

A single bike can generate 28 volts if pedaled at a medium pace.
At least 48 volts is required to charge the battery on the MEOW, so a step-up converter enabled the bikes to produce over 50 volts.
It should not exceed a total of 54 volts with the existing battery system.
The converter allows you to adjust the voltage, which is set to 52.5.

The MEOW was stolen in 2010 and was recovered in Hoopa. It was stripped of all solar panels and other expensive equipment.
In spring 2013, the MEOW has been restored from donations in the community. Two of the four remaining bikes have been restored as well.
There are plans to eventually attach MEOW to CCAT in order to supplement energy independence
