Simple rules Not much infrastructure requirement Has a fun element to it Does not involve prerequisite skills Leads to some sort of learning Sense of achievement upon winning May be competitive
Strategy based games requiring people skills – bluffing, negotiating, planning, debating etc skills could be the basis.◦ Involve group participation - Should be interesting
enough that people come together and play.
Such a game could be based on themes like the stock market◦ Can help beginners learn more about analyzing,
planning, project future scenarios and learning about stock market itself (in this case).
◦ Will simulate a real life scenario – exciting and involving competition.
◦ Could be played in teams and see how to look at different peoples’ perspective and put the best together.
Could involve bluffing – an under cover skill required quite often. How well can you bluff, catch others who are bluffing and convince others to believe your thoughts.◦ It is based on analyzing expressions, what others
say, reactions to others actions etc.◦ Thus, has to be played in real time with the group
being physically together.◦ Lot of fun to play. Interesting each time you play
due to a different set of players each time.
‘Learning a new skill’ based games – learn to drive (virtually), how to play guitar, learn a new language
Multiplayer game - Players at the same level of learning start together. ◦ Tutorials for many levels are available◦ Each player gets a limited time which can be used to finish
as many tutorials as desired.◦ Once time is up, the test starts. ◦ Score based on how many chords can one play correctly.◦ The current level of test stops when both the players have
made at least 3 wrong answers.◦ The players wishing to continue to next level can now start
the clock again and continue from the next level of tutorial.◦ Will be digital but could be made better if we had sound
recognition and players can actually play the instrument.
Instead of a musical instrument- could be about learning a new language. ◦ Reading◦ Writing◦ Speaking
