Exam Centre Description

Pearson Institute of Higher Education, Midrand campus is an accredited computer-based exam centre for the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Students and external individuals are able to complete ACCA module exams as per the annual timetable available.

ACCA Overview

ACCA offers a range of foundation – level certificates and diplomas, collectively referred to as Foundations in Accountancy. These qualifications provide an entry point for anyone new to accounting and finance, and who do not meet the minimum entry requirements for the ACCA Qualification. ACCA is committed to success and that is why it is the number one choice for accountancy students worldwide.

The Foundation level is the best preparation for the ACCA Qualification if you do not have any other formal qualifications or experience. Once the diploma has been completed, students and members will automatically be transferred to the ACCA Qualification, free of charge, and given exemptions from the first three exams.

The Foundation Diploma is a lower cost alternative to University, and you can study and work at the same time. You are eligible to be transferred free of charge to the ACCA Qualification once you’ve completed it, with free exemptions for F1, F2 and F3.

Exam Outline

Pearson Institute of Higher Education is accredited to facilitate the following ACCA module exams at its CBE Centre:

Foundation Phase Level 1. Introductory Certificate in Financial and

Management Accounting (FA1)2. Recording Financial Transactions and Management

Information (MA1)3. Intermediate Certificate in Financial and

Management Accounting (FA2) 4. Maintaining Financial Records and Managing Costs

and Finance (MA2)

Fundamental Level 1. Accountant in Business (F1)2. Management Accounting (F2)3. Financial Accounting (F3)4. Corporate and Business Law (F4)In order to write the exams you need to be registered with ACCA.

Certification

ACCA Foundation Diploma Certificate are issued by the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Students can use the Foundation-level awards as an entry to the ACCA Qualification

To gain the Foundation Diploma and to be eligible for the ACCA qualification you must pass all seven exams and then complete the Foundations in Professionalism online module.
