If you have flu symptoms and any of these warning signs, seek immediate medical attention or call 9-1-1. • Difficulty breathing or chest pain Purple or blue discoloration of your lips Vomiting and unable to keep liquids down, or • Signs of dehydration, such as feeling dizzy when standing or being unable to urinate Do you have a medical condition or are you age 65 or older? If you are 65 or older or have one of the following conditions, contact your healthcare provider today. • Pregnant • Cancer • Blood Disorders Chronic lung disease like asthma or emphysema • Diabetes • Heart, kidney or liver disease • Weakened immune system Obese (over about 250 lbs. for women, 300 lbs. for men • Your flu-like symptoms clearly improve then you get sicker or are you older than 65 If you have no warning signs and none of the medical conditions listed, stay at home; rest, drink plenty of fluids and treat fever with acetaminophen or ibuprofen according to the label on the medication (do not use aspirin in children under 18 years of age).
