rights movement in the United
States.
Led the movement to end racial segregation.
Wanted to end racial discrimination between black people and white people.

MLK received the Nobel Peace Prize.

as a way to fight against the British.

Gandhi went on a hunger strike many times in his life to protest war.

independence from the British.
