Driver Fatigue Management Policy

Driver fatigue is a serious safety issue, particularly when drivers are operating on the roads for long hours or overnight.

ALGN Transport follows WorkSafe guidelines when dispersing jobs to Employees and Subcontractors and:

Gives 24 hours notice for the driver to prepare for a long working period (12 hours or more)

Minimises very early departures and night driving where possible;

Insists that drivers are not to be impaired by alcohol or drug use - drivers should be 0.00 BAC at all time when

driving and working for ALGN Transport and never be under the influence of drugs.

The chances of workplace injuries occurring is increased by driver fatigue

Fatigue affects the individual’s performance and productivity, and the safety of the workplace becomes compromised.

conditions)

area is prepared;

Ensure the work area is not slippery, the area is

clear & lighting is sufficient; and

Safe Work Methods Policy

ALGN Transport’s Management is constantly discussing with all Employees and Subcontractors the constant hazards

and risks they may run into in their daily work. ALGN Transport recognises that hazards and risks must be discussed

and, where appropriate, control measures be initiated.

In our operations, we aim to isolate hazards and eliminate risks to health and safety by changing the way in which our

work is done. By involving all Employees and Subcontractors in discussions, the implementing of processes can be

highly integrative and of greater potential use.

Safe Work Method Statements are supplied for all plant, equipment & machinery used by Employees and

Subcontractors. Before, during and after Major Projects and Ongoing Contracts, these Safe Work Method Statements

are reassessed and put into context for the nature of the work.

Team members involved are briefed before commencement and understand the scope and constraints of the work and

its associated risk to their health and safety.

ALGN Transport is dedicated to providing appropriate personal protective equipment to its Employees and

Subcontractors and is committed to facilitating a safe work environment.
