Preparing for your PCSPreparation can help reduce the stress of moving your furry
friend. Speak to your Veterinarian about
requirements needed for your pet to travel.
Determine if your vaccinations are current
Allow as much time as possible to make travel arrangements
Contact housing office to determine the breed restrictions (base specific)
Check to see lodging accommodations are pet friendly
Choosing the right kennel for your pet’s PCS
Head clearance in kennel to 2 inches for domestic
flights 3 inches or more for
international flights Need ventilation on all (4)
sides and made of hard plastic
Kennel must have metal door
Kennel must be secured with metal bolts vs. plastic
TIPS for your Pet’s PCS Never give any pet sedation
prior to traveling Do not feed your pet 4 hours
prior to departure Place a small item with your
scent on it inside kennel. Here are some examples

Allow you pet time to adjust to the kennel
