1 Product descriptionThe PB dryer is a twin tower heat regenerative desiccant dryer which removes moisture from compressed air by adsorption.

2 Standard scope of supply

2.1 Major product components

Two pressure vessels Galvanized interconnecting pipework. Silicagel desiccant, with a bottom layer of water resistant beads. Pneumatically actuated butterfly valves with stainless steel discs. Side-channel blower out of die cast aluminium, with IP55 protection rating. External electrical heating elements with IP54 protection rating. Elektronikon Mk5 control system with operating display. Electrical enclosure with IP54 protection rating. Pressure transducer on each vessel. Temperature sensors to monitor key operating temperatures. Separate pilot air filter with pressure regulator, analogue pressure gauge and block

valve. Pressure dew point sensor with IP54 protection rating. High efficiency filter on the dryer inlet which removes oil aerosol, wet dust and water

droplets with a total mass efficiency of 99.99 %, and has a downstream ISO 8573-1:2010 air purity of class 2 for total oil.

Dust filter on the dryer outlet which removes dust, particles and micro-organisms with a count efficiency of 99.92 % at MPPS and has a downstream ISO 8573-1:2010 air purity of class 2 for particles.

Sonic nozzle, to be installed downstream of the dryer in order to protect the desiccant from high air flow velocities.

2.2 Control system

2.2.1 Functions Remote alarm. Remote start/stop. Auto restart (after power failure) function. Manual setting of targeted pressure dew point. Service counter with warning message.

2.2.2 Display Inlet temperature. Blower pressure. Vessel pressure (A & B). Heater outlet temperature. Regeneration air outlet temperature. Pressure dew point. Dryer state.

2.2.3 Alarms Module failure. Bad pressure dew point. Low compressed air inlet pressure. Blow-off failure. Low or high blower pressure. Vessel pressurization failure. Dryer unloaded.

2.2.4 Warnings Low or high compressed air inlet temperature. Low or high heating temperature. High regeneration outlet temperature.

3 Options

Pressure drop alarm for the in- and outlet filters, with feedback to the control system. Reversed in- and outlet piping. NEMA4X electrical enclosure. Blower inlet filter. Hot air piping insulation.
