worship, read the
Sabbath School
lesson story with
your child. Talk
about the pictures.
Sing the memory
verse song learned
in Sabbath School.
Don’t forget the
motions. (See page
60.)
At bathtime, use a
small plastic con-
tainer with a little
doll to represent
Moses. Shine a
flashlight on the
basket. Say, “God
was with Moses.
He’s with us, too.”
Let your child help
you make a smooth
soup. Float crou-
tons or toasted
cubes of bread
in the soup. Talk
about Moses’ basket
floating on the river.
Take a walk to see
evidence of God in
the natural world.
Thank Him for the
beauty He gives us.
Take a walk with
your family to a
river, lake, or pond.
Notice the move-
ment of the water.
Make ripples with
your hands. Thank
God for water.

each day. Select those thatare appropriate for yourchild’s developmental stageand repeat them often.

Make cookie dough
or pastry with your
child. Cut out peo-
ple shapes. Say,
“God loves to be
with people.
Thank You,
God, for
being with us.”
Gather some
rushes or reeds.
Take turns hiding
behind them.
With your child,
care for some
plants—indoor or
outdoor—or take
a walk and thank
God for the things
He has made.
Float leaves, bark,seed pods, etc., in a tub of water.
When you praywith your child,thank God forbeing with you and protecting you all week.
Help your child use play dough to make a basketfor Baby Moses.
Dress up, and role-
play the story of
Moses for family
worship. Use a box
or laundry basket
for Moses’ basket.
With your family,
sing some praise
songs learned in
Sabbath School.
Help your child
weave paper. Show
what your child
has woven during
family worship and
talk about Moses’
basket.
