    (57) Abstract :

Virtual keyboard applications and alternative communication devices provide new means of communication to assist disabled people.

To date, virtual keyboard optimization schemes based on script-specific information along with multimodal input access facility are

limited. In this work, we propose a novel method for optimizing the position of the displayed items for gaze-controlled tree-based

menu selection systems by considering a combination of letter frequency and command selection time. The optimized graphical user

interface (GUI) layout has been designed for a Hindi language virtual keyboard based on a menu wherein 10 commands provide

access to type 88 different characters along with additional text editing commands. The system can be controlled in two different

modes: eye-tracking alone and eye-tracking with an access soft-switch. Five different keyboard layouts have been presented and

evaluated with ten healthy participants. Further, the two best performing keyboard layouts have been evaluated with ten stroke

patients. The overall performance analysis demonstrated significantly superior typing performance, high usability (87% SUS score),

and low workload (NASA TLX with 17 scores) for the letter frequency and time- based organization with script specific arrangement

design. This work represents the first optimized multimodal Hindi virtual keyboard, which can be extended to other languages. (FIG.

    (57) Abstract :

Persistent or chronic infection with the hepatitis B virus represents one of the most common viral diseases in humans. We show here

that the siRNA mediated silencing of Drosha, Dicer and Ago2 transcripts in Huh7 cells resulted in elevated levels of HBV specific

RNAs, and conversely, we observed a decrease in mRNA and protein levels of same RNAi components in HepG2 cells infected with

HBV. Similar reductions were also detectable in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients. Analysis of CHB liver biopsy samples, with high

serum HBV DNA load o (>logio IU/ml), revealed a reduced mRNA and protein levels of Drosha, Dicer and Ago2. The low

expression levels of key RNAi pathway components in CHB patient samples as well as hepatic cells established a link between HBV

replication and RNAi components. The HBV proteins were also examined for RNA silencing suppressor properties. Using the GFP-

based reversion of silencing assays, its been identified here that HBx protein is an RSS protein. Through a series of deletions as well

as substitution mutants, we found that the full-length HBx protein is required for the optimum RSS activity. The in vitro dicing assays

revealed that the HBx protein inhibited the human Dicer mediated processing of dsRNAs into siRNAs. Together, our results suggest

that the HBx protein might function as RSS to manipulate host RNAi defense especially by abrogating the Dicer function. The

hepatitis B virus deploys the Hepatitis B Virus X Protein as a suppressor of host defenses consisting of RNAi-based suppression of

viral genes.Because of its critical role in countering host defenses, HBx represents an attractive target for antiviral drugs. Here, we

developed and optimized a loss-of-function screening procedure, which identified a potential pharmacophore that abrogated HBxs

RNAi suppression activity. In a survey of 14,400 compounds in the Maybridge Screening Collection, we prioritized candidate

compounds via high-throughput screening based on reversal of green fluorescent protein (GFP)-reported, RNAi-mediated silencing in

a HepG2/GFP-shRNA RNAi sensor line. The screening yielded a pharmacologically active compound, N-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-N-[3-

(lH-imidazol-l-yl) propyl] thiourea (TR415), which blocked HBx-mediated RNAi suppression indicated by the GFP reporter assay.

We also found that IR415 reversed the inhibitory effect of HBx protein on activity of the Dicer endo ribonuclease. We further

confirmed the results of the primary screen in IR415-treated, HBV-infected HepG2 cells, which exhibited a marked depletion of HBV

core protein synthesis and down regulation of pre-genomic HBV RNA. Using a molecular interaction analysis system, we confirmed

that IR415 selectively targets HBx in a concentration-dependent manner. The screening assay presented here allows rapid and

improved detection of small-molecule inhibitors of HBx and related viral proteins. The assay may therefore potentiate the

    (57) Abstract :

A normal two wheeler vehicle runs on petrol (gasoline) as a fuel which is stored in the petrol tank of the vehicle automobile system

and this fuel is used to run the automobile; the fuel tank consists of a normal reserve tank of 1-1.5 liters which can power the

automobile for 50-70 kilometers on an average; however this reserve tank system does not denote the exact amount of fuel in the fuel

tank and this may mislead the driver regarding the exact amount of fuel in the reserve tank; also the existing system do not indicate the

exact mileage of the two wheeler as it is not possible to know the exact amount of fuel in the two wheeler in the reserve

condition;hence a new system have been introduced which is simple in operation, it is possible to trace the exact amount of fuel

remaining in the two wheeler (after completely dried a main fuel tank as this emergency fuel tank has exact capacity of 100ml/200ml

also as a emergency tank is transperant), A new system has a small reserve tank of 100-200 ml and is small in size and will be

mounted on the supply line; when the fuel in the reserve tank gets utilized fully and the normal reserve tank will get fully dry, the two

wheeler must be switched on emergency reserve/emergency mode and after switching to emergency reserve mode, fuel will be

supplied from the emergency reserve tank and this will serve as emergency supply of fuel; the two wheeler can run for next 4-5

kilometers depends upon bike mileage, before this emergency reserve tank gets dried completely and hence the driver must fuel his

two wheeler before this 4-5 kilometers. Also after switch off the main supply and emergency supply of a bike, utilize all fuel which is

present in carburetor, fuel pipes, engine etc. by starting up and race bike for some minutes or by travel up till complete fuel utilize.

After complete dried up carburetor, fuel pipes, engine, etc. switch on an emergency mode and travel on bike up till the fuel of bike

completely end. Note down the distance traveled by bike. Now we can calculate a mileage of bike as we know exact amount of fuel

utilized by bike from emergency fuel tank. So this new system helps us to trace the exact mileage of the two wheeler and hence is of

    great use. FIGURE 1

    (57) Abstract :

Many existing Brain Computer Interface (BCI) wearables possess the functionality of detecting or classifying sleep stages so that the

user can analyze his or her sleep patterns for optimizing their individual productivity. In some cases these BCI wearables also claim to

wake the user whilst he/she is in the most appropriate sleep stage for waking up. The proposed invention is an Internet of Things (IoT)

enabled wearable BCI design. The device has an analog front-end which does the job of pre-amplification and filtering of the acquired

Electroencephalogram signal. This front-end also has a Sigma-Delta ADC and a micro-controller to collectively act as a data

acquisition bridge. After acquisition of this data the remaining noisy frequency components are removed using digital filters,

following which this noise-free signal is subjected to analysis for extracting important frequency component features. This digital

domain filtering and analysis can be done using any computational software, DSP or FPGA. There are two types of communication

bridges (Bluetooth Low Energy and Wifi), for the above signal processing platforms, that are used to send this data to the android

platform. An attempt to perform -the same signal processing tasks on the android application itself is also available, thus making, such

a comparative study of different platforms for processing EEG data, one of the objectives of the system. The main feature of the

invention is the adaptive waking algorithm which can wake-up the user at the right moment of his/her sleep stages.

    (57) Abstract :

In general, this disclosure describes method of reducing NOx emission and capturing and storing CO2 coming out from the exhaust of

internal combustion engine and diesel generator set. The method includes recirculating some amount of exhaust gas to the intake

manifold of the engine using exhaust gas recirculation valve and also passing it to the carbon capture scrubber unit sufficient to

separate CO2 from the exhaust gas. Fuel tank has been replaced by an accumulator so that separate cylinder for storing the carbon

dioxide is not required. Exhaust gas temperature can be controlled by the use of temperature sensor and variable frequency drive pump

by sending more amount of absorbent to the heat exchanger. Amount of NOx going to the atmosphere can also be controlled by

sending signal to the exhaust gas recirculation valve sensed by the flue gas analyser installed at the exit of the exhaust gas. Captured

carbon dioxide in absorbent can be desorb in heat exchanger by heating it by the action of hot exhaust gas.
