Vladislava’s journey to the US started in 1999 after the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslavakia. She came from the small country village of South Maravia, a village very rich in Czech culture. People treated each other as family and no one ever went hungry. When she moved to Yukon, OK, and attended her first Yukon Czech Festival, she was so excited to find her culture and heritage being celebrated here. However, she was also disappointed to find no bakery, store, or restaurant served Czech food on the other days of the year. She decided it was time to share her heritage with the people of Yukon! She started a small catering business and eventually opened a food truck called “Czech Delights.” She has now moved on to starting Vladislava’s Czech Bakery and Cafe with her new business partner, Devin Tenney.

This business represents her heart. She often says of her business, “It must be about people, culture, Czech heritage, and the good will to share happiness and a smile with others!” That is her mission. She is ready to make Yukon a place that truly celebrates Czech culture!
