Elise and seconded by James. The motion passed unanimously. b. The Catholic Comeback
▪ A revised version of the Catholic Comeback matrix was released by the archdiocese on July 1 (see attached – changes in red text). The major change is the ability of parishes conducting weekend masses to hold wedding and funeral services at 25% of the occupancy limit. Dispensation for attending mass in person has been extended until August 2nd.
▪ Mass Schedule - Weekday masses will be provided at Lumen Christi on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 8:30 AM. Weekend masses will remain the same until August 30th.
▪ School – the School Commission will be meeting on July 7th to discuss the plan for the upcoming school year. Kelly Fyfe will be invited to the next Pastoral Council meeting on July 7th to review the information assembled to date.
▪ Fr. Matthew views the Pastoral Council as the “eyes and ears” of the parish and asked members to keep him appraised of any concerns that may be heard.
c. Catholic Formation ▪ Confirmation of six RCIA candidates occurred during Sunday’s 11:30AM service. ▪ First Communion services have been scheduled on July 16th, July 22nd and August 2nd. ▪ Confirmation services have been scheduled on August 9th and August 16th.
d. Building/Grounds ▪ James indicated the dehumidification issue in the school gym has been resolved.
e. Human Concerns ▪ Cathy indicated most services are moving back into the community. ▪ A long term educational/formation program to better understand and address the
impacts of racism will be addressed by a subcommittee of Human Concerns. f. Fr. Stephen Buting begins his ministry at Lumen Christi on July 1st and will attend Pastoral
Council meetings starting next week. g. The next Pastoral Council Meeting will be held via teleconference on Tuesday, July 7th @ 7:00
