Enjoy a few pictures of kids on

their first day of school. .

Pray for our families and

schools this fall.

What a difference a month can make! It seemed just yesterday that we were neck deep in plans for the

school year and excited about kicking off our new Wednesday night format. Then things went

sideways! But that hasn’t lessened our enthusiasm for the future. Yes, we are having to push some

things back a bit, but we are still excited about the journey we are on as a church and the future that is

just beyond the horizon. Church leadership will continue to assess the COVID situation in our

community and attempt to make prudent, wise, and thoughtful decisions each step of the way.

Regardless of how the future unfolds, our hope and prayer is that we would continue to demonstrate

our devotion to Christ through our unyielding love and grace we show each other and our

community.

Both our Youth breakfast on Wednesday mornings and our Wednesday night youth bible study are

tentatively scheduled to begin again on October 6. Please continue to pray for our students as they are

still in the early stages of yet another school year surrounded with uncertainty. Pray not only that

they’d be able to survive this school year, but also shine the light of Christ’s peace and love to those

around them.

We had a blast at

Water Day!

BACK TO SCHOOL AT FBP

When First Baptist Preschool first opened in 2018, we had 48 children in attendance. This year we opened our door to 72 Lil Fish, including 22 new families! We currently only have 1 spot open in our 3s classroom. Our Lil Fish have been busy getting to know their new friends, teachers and classroom routine.

With all the yucky stuff going on in the world, sometimes you just wanna get away....maybe go for boat ride or ride a horsey! So we ordered some new toys for the playground thanks to a generous donation from JR’s Ice Cream.

Although we had to cancel our 2nd annual Splash Bash fundraiser due to COVID, JR’s Ice Cream still wanted to make a donation to FBP! Our Lil Fish are loving the 2 new rocking horses and the boat. The boat also doubles as a walking bridge to help our littlest fish learn to climb up and down stairs safely.

This month we also hosted a tricycle safety day and school bus day. There is nothing cuter than a toddler in a giant helmet! School Bus Day was a bright, fun and sunny day here at FBP and just what we all needed. We sang songs, made crafts and even got to “ride” in a school bus.

It’s going to be a great year at FBP and we thank you in advance for all your prayers, love and support.
