Passport Project Past, Present, Future

description

Students created passport-like booklets that allowed them to share a bit about where they are from, where they have been, and where they would like to go one day. It also gave me as a teacher a first look at their writing levels.

Students created “passports” that told where they are from, one place where they’ve traveled, and one place where they would like to go someday. They then described these places using past, present, and future tenses. It allowed them to share a bit about themselves with their classmates, and served as a first view into students’ writing levels.

We started with a map to help visualize where we were all coming from. As you can see, about half the class has lived in Shanghai long-term, but we’re still quite a diverse group!Continue to see some of their pages. Note that most of them are English language learners.
