PASSION OF ITALY 2020
Colleagues,
International travel combined with great music making has profoundly shaped my life as a professional musician and as a person.
I am grateful for the opportunity to offer you and your community of singers the possibilities of such life-enriching experiences. I have selected an area of Europe that particularly inspires me, Italy. We will rehearse and perform (individually and as a combined festival choir) in the Eternal City, Rome. Rome is such a great city for singing and sightseeing as we tour the Colosseum, enter the Sistine Chapel, sing Mass at St. Peter’s (tbd), explore the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.
There are pre and post touring options to Florence and Venice or elsewhere in Italy and indeed Europe. This will be the third festival I am leading for KIconcerts and I like the way they build an event like this, never losing sight of the individual choirs and choristers while still producing a well-attended gala concert on a significant scale at a fine venue in a great destination.
I hope you will consider singing with me while we explore the enchanting cities of Rome, Florence and Venice
