Pashmina Shawl is made from Pashmina, without knowing the Pashmina we can’t understand this art of work. The word Pashmina is derived from the Persian word “Pasham” it mean soft wool, the quality of yarn is so unique it calls “soft gold” or “king of fibers”.

Pashmina Shawls are popular for their fine fabric. The yarns are so light that it has very negligible weight and so soft it can be pass through a mere ring.

This soft wool is derived from rear Himalayan goats inhabiting the high altitudes like “Capra Hircus” native calls it “Pashmina Goat”. Because of the very cold weather they grow long hair. Outer part of this hair is very rough and thick but the inside parts of yarn soft enough for Pashmina shawls. A good Pashmina Shawl takes about 300 gm of yarn, it is the three goats. yearly production of yarn.
