Announcing A RoyAl Disney PRincess PARty!
Below ARe some tiPs AnD iDeAs to helP with PlAnning youR enchAnting occAsion.
invitAtions You can invite guests via email and choose from an assortment of theme-related invitations or…
Create your own invitations! A suggestion would be to use cardstock paper and a silver gel pen. On the cover you can write, “The King requests your presence at the Royal Celebration of Princess ______’s Party!”sTry sprinkling very fine glitter over the invitation, roll into a tube (like a scroll) and tie with a satin ribbon!
Please remember to send your invitations 2-3 weeks in advance.
DecoRAting tiPs Every princess party should be full of royal colors! You can’t go wrong with using purple, pink, gold, or silver.
• Be creative and make your own party decorations using paper or poster board and hang them on the walls. They make for great homemade party adornments.
• Use lots of balloons! Hang them around the room in bunches of three. Tie one to the mailbox to show guests just where the party is located. You can even drape glitter tulle fabric around your home to make your party look more royal!
• Announce the guests upon arrival and present them with their very own royal crowns!
• Make your own centerpieces with gift bags and balloon bouquets. Tie the balloons onto a weight and place them in the gift bag. Top off the centerpieces by adding tissue paper.
PARty gAmes Let the Disney Princess Party CD provide the fun, games and entertainment! Put the CD into your computer to access the special features. Look for the “Musical Games Instructions” button and click to open to fully incorporate the games into your party.
Princess Coloring ActivityCreate a princess castle for everyone to decorate! Make a large drawing of a castle on construction paper or poster board and tape to a wall. Provide markers and crayons for the children to use to create a beautiful castle of their own.
Find the King’s TreasureHide little treats or trinkets all over the party area. Explain that the hidden items has been scattered throughout the land by some mischievous little pixies. Their task is to retrieve the treats, and they can keep all the treasures they find!
Stick the Kiss on the Frog This is played just like “Pin the Tail on the Donkey.” Print out the 2 pages with the illustration of the frog, then cut and tape the pages together to compete. Also print the page of lips and cut one out for each child. Add double stick tape to one side of the lips and write the partygoers’ name on the other. Be sure to remember the blindfold!
Have a Royal BallProvide dresses or strips of fancy fabric that the girls can dress up with. Then give each girl long pieces of ribbon. Play some music and let your guests dance and twirl! TIP: The ribbon helps to remove inhibitions and adds to the fun.
PRincess PARty FAvoRs Treat the fair maidens at your party to fairytale treasures! Kid-safe body glitter, hair ties, stickers, wands, princess coloring books, bubbles, or even a copy of the Disney Princess Party CD! Placed in a pink bag or basket will surely send your guests home with a smile!
