A sentence has two parts.
The first part is called the subject.
It tells what the sentence is about. It can be a person, a place, or a thing.
Ex. She is our class adviser.

Sometimes, there is a hidden subject.
In the sentences above, the words she and the giraffe are the subjects.
Now, I will show you sentences where the subjects are not clear.

A sentence has two parts.
The second part is called the predicate.
It tells something about the subject.
Ex. Liam, Fred, and Zach are classmates.

There are 4 types of sentences.
When we make a statement or give facts, we make a "telling sentence."
Example:
The earth is round.
There is butter inside the refrigerator.
Big Hero 6 is my favorite movie.

There are 4 types of sentences.
When we ask a question, we are making an "asking sentence."
It begins with a capital letter and ends with a "?"
Example:What is your favorite subject?Where do you live?Have you seen X-Men the movie?

There are 4 types of sentences.
When we express a strong or sudden emotion, the sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with an exclamation point (!).

SENTENCES1. A sentence starts with a capital
