Step 2: Log in with your most used Salesforce instance username. !is should be credentials from either your active Salesforce org or a Developer Edition org.

NOTE: Your existing Partner Portal username will not work at this step.

If you have existing Partner Portal credentials and want to access the Partner Community

Step 3: After successfully logging into the Partner Community with your Salesforce username, you will need to connect your existing Partner Portal username to complete the setup. If you need to reset your Partner Portal password, go to http://www.salesforce.com/partnerportal.

If you have existing Partner Portal credentials and want to access the Partner Community

After successfully logging in, please click login to enter the Partner Community. Moving forward, you will only need your Salesforce instance username from Step 2 to log into the Partner Community.

NOTE: Every user who has existing Partner Portal credentials can follow these instructions to gain access to the Partner Community. Please log a case in the existing Partner Portal if you are having any trouble setting this up.

Step 1: From the invitation email, open the unique URL in a web browser of your choice.

Step 2: Log in with your most used Salesforce instance username. !is should be credentials from either your active Salesforce org or a Developer Edition org. If you do not have any, please reach out to the person who invited you for assistance.

Step 3: After successfully logging into the Partner Community with your Salesforce username, you will be asked to create a new Partner Portal username. Save this username, it is used to log into the old Partner Portal if needed.

Adding users to your new Partner Community (Partner Community Administrators Only)

Step 1: After successfully setting up your new Partner Community, the next step you should take is to invite the rest of your colleagues! As an administrator, you will see an extra tab in your home screen called “Manage Users”, click on it.

Adding users to your new Partner Community (Partner Community Administrators Only)

Step 2: !is screen allows you to extend a user’s access in the Partner Community using the checkboxes. To invite new users to your community, use the “Invite Users” button.

NOTE: You can only invite users in the same email domain as the one you have used.

Step 3: !at’s it! Your users will now receive an email with instructions to sign up for the Partner Community. Come back into this screen at any time to change the permissions of any given user.

How do I !nd my Partner Community or Partner Portal administrator?

!e person who signs up your company as a partner of Salesforce is given administrator rights to the Partner Portal and Partner Community. !ey can then add additional administrators. !e administrator of your Partner Portal or Partner Community is not necessarily the same as your Salesforce administrator. Other people at your company with access to these sites may be able to provide information on how to get access. 

Does each person at my company need to sign up to be a partner?

No. Your company should only register their partnership with Salesforce once. !is will ensure that your partner account is properly handled and that all of your users are tied to the correct account.

When signing up to be a partner, should I create a trial org?

If you are interested in becoming a partner but don't use Salesforce at your company, you should create a trial org. !is org is a 6 month trial which will be upgraded to your Partner Business Org when you #nalize your contract with Salesforce. 

What type of Salesforce credentials can I use to get access to the Partner Community?

All types of Salesforce credentials other than sandboxes can be used.  !is can include Developer Edition, any CRM edition, as well as trial orgs. If you use a trial org, note that it will expire at some point and you will lose access to the Partner Community if the org is not upgraded.  Salesforce recommends you either use your active Salesforce org credentials or a set of Developer Edition credentials.

Only a few people at my company have Salesforce credentials for our CRM org, how do my other employees access the Partner Community?

When you invite your other employees they can log in with any Salesforce credentials. To allow individual employees to gain access, they can sign up for a free Developer Edition org which will provide them with credentials that do not expire. !en they can use those credentials when they accept their invitation and they will be properly associated to your partner account.

My company has been a partner of Salesforce and our employees have access to the Partner Portal – how do we get them access to the Partner Community?

If you are already a partner and your employees have access to the Partner Portal, each person should register for the Partner Community on our Already a Partner page.  !ere they can login with their Salesforce credentials and associate them with their Partner Portal user. !is will ensure that their user is properly connected to your partner account and they will be able to see all of their data.

Do I need to go to the Already a Partner page every time I come to the Partner Community?

No. Visit the Already a Partner page only once to connect your Partner Portal user with your Salesforce credentials. From then on, just use your Salesforce credentials to log into the Partner Community.

Do all users at my company need to log into the Partner Community from the same org?

No. When you invite users to join the Partner Community they can log in with any credentials and they will be associated to your partner account.  !is can include Developer Edition credentials.  When should I invite a new user to the Partner Community versus having them visit the Already a Partner page?

If your employees have access to the Partner Portal, each person should register for the Partner Community on our Already a Partner page.  If your employees don't have access to either the Partner Portal or Partner Community, you should invite them to join the Partner Community on the User Management page. Inviting a user will create their Partner Portal user as well as the Partner Community user. How can I invite other employees to the Partner Community?

You can invite employees to join the Partner Community on the User Management page. You will need the Manage Users permission in order to access this page. !e person who signs up your company as a partner of Salesforce will be given this permission and they can grant it to others at your company. Inviting an employee will create a Partner Portal user as well as a Partner Community user.
