Over 4 decades later, Roger has a body of work exceeding 20

musicals and 6 collections.

There are also two books, Worship Works and Spirit Works, written in conjunction with his colleagues Annie Routley and Helen Pollard.

In 1973 Roger Jones

composed his first musical, Jerusalem Joy,

for his secondary school choir.

Beyond a performance Every musical contains music that challenges and encourages. There are times of worship, spaces for God to move and speak, as well as lyrics that take people right to the heart of the Gospel. One of the core values of Christian Music Ministries (CMM) is that neither choir nor audience members will leave a performance with just a feeling of ‘Didn’t they do well.’ Instead of a memory that fades, they will have an experience of worship and the power of the Holy Spirit that transforms hearts and lives.

Beyond a musical CMM is not just an organisation that performs and resources others to perform musicals. Roger’s musicals are an excellent diving board, enabling individuals and churches to move away from just paddling, diving deeper into worship and life in the Holy Spirit. Through seminars, workshops, and music weeks, as well as performances, CMM has a unique ministry resourcing and encouraging many in their evangelism and Spiritual growth.

In line with the mission statement, CMM has some exciting plans for the next stage of the ministry:

1. Torn Curtain—continuing to use this exciting musical about worship, healing and wholeness throughout the UK.

2. Spirit Works and Worship Works—utilising teaching from these books to lead training days, seminars and retreats.
