1. Transponder interface programming:
NOTE: Two programmed ignition keys are required for this step and the engine hood must be closed. Read through the entire programming section prior to performing on the vehicle. These steps are very important to the operation of the remote start system.
a. Sitting in the driver’s seat, be prepared to press the brake pedal to shut down the remote start system.
b. Using the first key, turn the ignition on but don’t start the vehicle, wait for the THEFT light to turn off, then turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition switch.
c. Using the second key within 5 seconds, turn the ignition on but do not start the vehicle, wait for the THEFT light to turn off, then turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition switch.
NOTE: The 5 second time-limit is very important. If this limit is exceeded then the procedure must be repeated.
d. Activate the remote start function by pressing the START button (2) times within 3 seconds.
The system should chirp the horn one time, pause for four seconds and start the engine. If the engine fails to start and the THEFT light is flashing rapidly, repeat the above procedure.
e. After the engine has started, press the brake pedal to shut down the engine. The Immobilizer interface is now programmed.

The hood safety switch will need to be adjusted to shut down the vehicle when the engine hood is raised to the full uprightposition.
1. Raise the vehicle’s engine hood and support using the vehicle’s prop rod.
2. The hood switch cylinder should be bend away from the hood, approximately 15 degrees above parallel with the ground. (FIGURE FFF)
3. After the adjustment has been made, verify that remote engine start does not engage when the vehicle’s engine
hood is open.
4. If the remote engine start engages with the engine hood in the full upright position, the switch will need to be bent closer
to the engine hood.

NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO VERIFY THAT THE HOODSAFETY SWITCH PREVENTS THE REMOTE ENGINE STARTSYSTEM FROM ENGAGING WHEN THE VEHICLE’S HOOD ISIN THE FULL UPRIGHT POSITION
