What is tea?
People around the world love to drink tea everyday. It is the world’s most popular beverage served hot or cold and comes in many different varieties. Some of these varieties are green, oolong and black tea. It all starts with dried tea leaves and water which when combined create a refreshing drink. In my presentation, you will learn many wonderful facts about tea including where we find tea, how it is made, and which country loves tea the most!
Who discovered tea?Tea was discovered by a Chinese emperor named Shen Nung around 2738 B.C. It is believedthat tea leaves from a nearby bush accidentally fell into a pot of boiling water and once theemperor tasted the leaves he felt it made him more energized. He thought it should be used byall his subjects when they needed to feel better.

Tea is grown in many countries around the world including China, India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Turkey,
Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan and Argentina

Why is tea good for your body?
Tea can help your body in many ways. It helps to soothe a sore throat, relaxes you at bedtime and calms an upset stomach. Green tea, especially, has many antioxidants called catechins which may have the ability to curb cancer growth, slow heart disease, lower cholesterol and fight obesity.
