Dear St. Anne Parishioners: I’d like to give you some updates on our Bridge to the Future Campaign, which is scheduled to conclude at the end of May 2018. We have divided the Campaign into 3 separate goals, which are as follows:

Number of Participants. We have 1,035 families at St. Anne, and have set a goal of having 200 families participate in the campaign. As of the 3rd week of January, we have reached 128 participants.

Monthly Increase in Stewardship Giving. We have set the goal of increasing our monthly stewardship by $3,000. As of January 21, we have increased $1,975 in monthly stewardship giving. This is perhaps the most important category at this point, since it will most greatly impact our future giving. Please take a look at your monthly giving, and discern if you can commit to giving a little more.

Mortgage Reserves. Our goal in this category is $92,000. So far, we have reached $70,257 in gifts and pledges.

If you have not yet made a commitment to the Bridge campaign, please pick up a form at the Information Table after Mass this weekend, and help us to reach these goals! The future of our parish depends on your generosity!! A hearty “Thank You!” to all of those who have already participated in the campaign, and helped us to come so far. God’s blessings to you, Father Bob

Fat Tuesday Celebration This Tuesday, February 28 at 6pm we’ll celebrate our Fat Tuesday Faith Formation Event here at St. Anne. Parishioners and their guests are welcome to attend. This is a pre-Lenten event (Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 1st) for families to participate in together as we learn and live our faith in fun and meaningful ways. One of my fa-vorite parts of the evening is making lunches to be deliv-ered to two sites where folks who are homeless will re-ceive them the following day. Please come! And please consider donating the following:

THANK YOU! “…If you bestow your bread on the hungry and satisfy the afflicted, then light shall rise for you in the darkness…” Isaiah 58:10 INNS (Interfaith Network Nightly Shelter) The INNS Ministry serves the homeless on the 1st and 2nd weekends of the month. Our monthly collection is on the first weekend of the month. Please bring any of the following items to the altar steps to benefit the homeless of our community. We thank you for your thoughtful donations however, only the following items can be utilized by the INNS ministry. There is no space to store previously worn clothes and shoes. Those are best taken directly to St. Vincent de Paul as St. Anne does not have storage space either. Professional attire is happily accepted at Urban Outreach for their Job Assistance Program. 6218 26th Ave. Thank you.

The Diaconate Are you considering serving the Church as an Ordained Deacon? The Church calls men to be deacons "in service" to the People of God. If you are a man (married or single), who feels this call and wants to know more, please contact the Office for Diaconate Formation at 414-758-2202 or [email protected]. Now is the time to prepare; Inquiry for Discernment sessions are forming for men who would like to enter the application process to begin in January of 2018! www.archmil.org/ImaDeacon Blessings + Deacon Rich

“Children Have a Right to a Fuller Catechesis Each Year.” National Directory of Catechesis, p. 136 Here at St. Anne, we believe in life-long faith formation, and we have a LOT to offer you as you raise your children in the Catholic faith! Even though it is PARENTS who are called to be their child’s “first and best teachers in the faith” we’re here to partner with you every step of the way. Please don’t hesitate to lean on the Church for strength to do your job as a parent well. Every year your child should either be enrolled in Catholic Schools or in parish-based faith formation programs. Please enroll your child NOW for programs that begin again in the fall. On-line Registration is NOW OPEN! While children of all ages are welcome at St. Anne, most will be eligible for our Kindergarten through 5th grade classes which will meet either on Wednesdays at 5:30pm, on Saturdays at 4pm, on Sundays at 8am, or on Sundays at 10:30am beginning again in October. Please pick a class near your favorite Mass time, or our Wednesday option, and register each child from the St. Anne webpage at www.saint-anne.org and click on the tab that says CHILDREN, or https://saint-anne.org/children/register/ or here: https://saint-anne.org/forms/2017-faith-formation-registration/ The 2017/2018 calendar of Faith Formation Events is already available on-line as well on the same web page. Please put all the dates on your personal calendar, especially if you have a current first grader who will be a new First Communicant! In addition, Preschoolers meet on Thursdays from 3-4:30pm and Middle Schoolers meet on select Sundays from 6-7:30pm. Please use the registration forms at www.saint-anne.org that correspond to your children’s ages. Thank you! Don’t hesitate to reply or call with your questions, and don’t hesitate in forwarding this invitation to other families – THANKS! “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”~Jesus

Baptism ~ Congratulations! If you are a registered parishioner and plan to have your child baptized at St. Anne, please call the Parish Office to register for a Baptism Reflection (preparation).

Your Spiritual Adoption Month 4—Developing Baby—”I had a dream!” Well, your little baby now weighs six ounces. She has fingernails and eyelashes. She has her own unique fingerprints, which will remain the same until she dies. Her taste buds are working. Her sense of hearing is developing and present at 14 weeks. There are no major developments anymore. This month rapid eye movements (REMS) can be detected-a sign of dreaming. Your spiritually adopted baby is already well-formed, internally and externally. All she needs now is time to gain weight and grow strong. What a miracle she is!

St. Joseph Catholic Academy to Introduce New Scholarship Program for Middle School St. Joseph Catholic Academy is introducing a new scholarship program specifically for Middle School students. Recognizing that the cost of a high quality, faith-based education may be prohibitive for many families, even those who earn an average or above average income, St. Joseph Catholic Academy has created the Sr. Sylvia Middle School Scholarship. Based on family income, the Sr. Sylvia Middle School Scholarship will allow families who qualify to pay the SJCA K-5 tuition rate for their Middle School years. As a long-time, wholly dedicated member of the St. Joseph community, tirelessly committed to Catholic education and faith-formation, Sr. Sylvia not only represents the heritage of SJCA but also embodies the essence of Catholic education. SJCA is pleased to honor Sr. Sylvia Leonardi by creating this scholarship in her name. If you or someone you know has a middle school student that would like to attend SJCA, but is concerned about the cost, please contact Wanda Jaraczewski at [email protected] or (262) 654-8651 (ext. 104) to learn more about this scholarship opportunity.

Stewardship Prayer My church is composed of people like me.

I help make it what it is. It will be friendly, if I am. Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.

It will do great work, if I work. It will make generous gifts to many causes,

if I am a generous giver. It will bring other people into its worship and

fellowship, if I invite and bring them. It will be a church of loyalty and love,

of fearlessness and faith, and a church with a noble spirit, if I, who make it what it is, am filled

with these same things. Therefore, with the help of God, I shall dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I

want my church to be.
