Dear Caring for Our Present, Planning for Our Future Capital Campaign Participating Parish,

As the calendar year end approaches, we would like to offer a couple of reminders regarding Internal Revenue Service

regulations surrounding your gifts to the Caring for Our Present, Planning for Our Future Capital Campaign during the

month of December.

Consistent with Internal Revenue Service regulations, all year end gifts must be postmarked by the Post Office with a

2019 date to be recorded as a gift in 2019. The postmark on the envelope determines the year the gift is recorded.

Examples for clarification are listed below:

• If TCF receives a gift with a check dated 12/31/2019 on 1/1/2020 (or later), but the postmark on the envelope

reads 12/31/2019 (or earlier) then TCF will post the date of the gift as 12/31/2019.

• If TCF receives a gift with a check dated 12/31/2019, but the postmark on the envelope reads 1/1/2020 (or later)

then it will be posted as a gift received in 2020.

TCF will also record all hand delivered gifts received at the Foundation on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 by noon as a

2019 gift. We are located at 12222 Merit Drive Suite 850 Dallas, TX 75251 and can be reached at 972-661-9795.

Contributions charged on a donor’s bank credit card are only deductible in the year the charge is made. If a donor wants

to make a gift or pay a pledge payment by credit card for 2019 they must have their written request to TCF by noon on

Friday, December 27, 2019.

ALL PAYMENTS GIVEN TO PARISH PERSONNEL MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE CATHOLIC FOUNDATION by NOON ON TUES-

DAY, DECEMBER 31, 2019 IN ORDER TO BE COUNTED AS A 2019 GIFT.

Finally, marketable securities must be received in our Merrill Lynch account by Friday, December 6, 2019. Please alert us as to the type and shares of stock you will be gifting. BAPTISMS English Baptisms are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month at 6:00p.m. Please contact the parish office to schedule the baptism. The parents and sponsors must take a baptismal preparation class. Baptismal preparation classes are offered the 3rd Saturday of each month at10:00 a.m. in room 2 (English). Please call the parish of-fice to register. Baptismal preparation for children ages 7 to 17 is handled in the RCIA/RCIC Program.
