Parikrama Email (Pmail) User Manual

Parikrama mail service is working on Microsoft Office 365 cloud, hence it comes with features

of Microsoft services like security, reliability, privacy etc.

What is Office 365?

Microsoft Office 365 (often called Microsoft 365 or Office 365) is a Web-based version of Microsoft's

Office suite of enterprise-grade productivity applications. Office 365 is delivered to users through the

cloud and includes Exchange Online for email, SharePoint Online for collaboration, Lync Online for

unified communications, and a suite of Office Web Apps, Web-based versions of the traditional

Microsoft Office suite of applications.

As a first time, you will need to do a few steps before you can login to Parikrama mail.

Ensure you have correct Username and One Time Password with you.

GoTo-

www.parikrama.edu.in -> My PARIKRAMA

OR

https://portal.office.com/Home

After you have done the steps above, you will be able to login to Parikrama Mail.

STEPS

1.You will get the login screen as below, here enter your credentials and click on Ok.

The Portal will ask you to change password. Please enter your personal password and click on Update

Password and sign in.

Please note-

Passwords can't contain your user ID, and need to be at least 8 characters long, with at least 3 of the

following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

2.You are required to Select your language and Time zone(UTC +5:30, Chennai,Kolkatta,Mumbai,New

Delhi) and click Save.

Note: If you get a message saying “we are almost ready…” after you login, please be

patient for a few minutes until the page loads.

You are now successfully logged in.

3.Click on Mail to use email application.

The screen is divided into three pane –

a. Folders (Inbox,Clutter,SendItems,Draft,More…)

b. Inbox (Here you will find all incoming mails to you )

c. Mail Body (Mail details and Text)

4.To write new email (Compose) click +NEW

5.To send email click Send

Institute specific features

You can search people, student, staff more easily. We have used

“FirstnameLastname”@parikrama.edu.in pattern, so if you know person by name you will find

his/her email id.

You can create groups like faculty group, staff group, student group, project group, function

group etc.

Emails send or received are strictly private and no one can see/monitor your exchanged data.

To- put email address to whom you are writing email.

Add a Subject- Subject of email.

Editor- Editor of @parikrama.edu.in mail comes with more edit options than other email services.

You can attach a file or files upto 25MB.

Files larger than 25MB can be sent using OneDrive feature of @parikrama.edu.in
