Dear CMC Parents,

On behalf of the CMC Parent Network, I would like to invite you to join us for Parents Weekend, Saturday through Monday, February 15-17, 2014, at Claremont McKenna College. Programming begins the morning of Saturday, February 15th.

Join the hundreds of parents who travel to CMC and take advantage of this opportunity to get a taste of campus life and visit with your student. Parents of freshmen through seniors are encouraged to attend this fun-filled and informative event. Although all family members are welcome, it should be noted that most activities are not geared to children under 16.

An exciting program with panel discussions, athletic events, lectures, informal get-togethers, classroom visits, and entertainment has been put together for your consideration. Plan to attend classes on Monday, February 17, which is a holiday for most parents, but is a regular class day in Claremont. A list of classes open to parents will be available at check in. Of course, spending time with your student will be an important priority, so it is recommended that you discuss the program of events with your student, and try to reserve a time slot in his/her busy schedule! Please note that many students and professors will be preparing for mid-terms.

Be sure to register early and use this brochure for your registration needs. For more information, visit the Parents Weekend website at www.cmc.edu/parentsweekend.

I am looking forward to seeing you in February and hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to take a look inside Claremont McKenna College, its beautiful campus, as well as the academic life, resources, research, and opportunities that shape your student’s experience.

Warmly,

Christel Filippelli P’14 P’14 Vice President, Programs Parent Network Board
