Conferences are Novem-
ber 17th-21st. All of the
kindergarten through fifth
grade students will be
dismissed at 11:10 am on
these days.
Parents– Please make the appropriate after-school
arrangements.
Conferences are an excellent time to com-municate with your child’s teacher. Here are some questions you may want to ask at the conferences:
May I tell you about my child?
May I tell you about what's going on at home?
How is my child doing socially?
How is my child doing emotionally?
In what areas does my child need improve-ment?
What do you think my child is particularly good at?
Is my child performing on grade level?
What do these assess-ment results really mean?
Is my child doing his/her best?
Does my child need extra help in any areas?
What can we do to provide that extra help?
May I share a concern with you?
Do you have any advice?
How can I help you?
How can I contact you?
These questions are courtesy of www.care.com.

The Pumpkin Patch by Ms. Wendel’s Class
This is a shared writing
activity by Ms. Wendel’s first
grade class. Everyone partic-
ipated in writing it. The
students are very excited
because they are ‘famous’
since their story is now
published in the school
newsletter!
We went to the Pumpkin Farm. First, we had a hay ride. Next, we saw a goat, pigs, sheep, chickens and some
turkeys. Then, we went through the corn maze. Last, we went in the haunted house and picked our pump-kins. We had FUN!
