Parent-Teacher conferences will be held during the week of November 25th. Conferences are 20 minutes in length unless otherwise specified by the classroom teacher. Please arrive on-time to help keep everyone on schedule.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of your conference, please submit any questions or concerns in writing to your child’s teacher prior to the day of your conference. This will allow your child’s teacher to take the necessary time with you to address your specific questions. After your conference, be sure to talk with your child. It is important that your child know that you and their teacher are working together to en-sure a successful school experience.

While parent-teacher conferences are one opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher, please be sure to keep in touch with the teacher throughout the school year. Together we can all help our children along their academic journey. We hope to see you at conferences!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Starting Monday, November 4th, the Skyward Parent Portal is open for parents to sign up for Fall Parent-Teacher conferences (EC - 5th grade). To get to the Parent Portal, click on the district website or your school website at the top of the page (in the black bar on the district site; just below the black bar on our school’s site).

You will be able to make changes through the Parent Portal or schedule your conference up until 9pm on Fri-day, November 22nd. If you have already arranged a conference with your child's teacher for this Fall, you do not need to sign up in Skyward. Your conference time should already have been entered. If you need to make changes to the ap-pointment, please do not do so through Skyward. Please work with your child's teacher to make the changes. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the Lily Lake School Office.

With the cool autumn breezes settling in, it is time once again to remind stu-dents about proper dress. During cooler weather, students still go outside

for recess on a regular basis. It is essential that students come to school dressed for the weather. Coats, hats, gloves or mittens, scarves and boots and/or snow pants are essential for keeping warm. Please be sure your child is dressed not only for a wait at the bus stop, but for playing at recess as well. We will plan on being outside for recess unless it is raining or the tem-perature and/or wind chill falls below 0 degrees.

Dear Lily Lake Families,

The holiday season is upon us and we need your help! Starting Monday, November 18th thru December 13th, Lily Lake is participating in the Toys for Tots Program again this year! The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, un-wrapped toys during November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christ-mas gifts to less fortunate children in the community . The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. If you would like to support this program this holiday season, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to Lily Lake and have your child deposit it into one of the drop boxes located in our foyer! (Please no stuffed animals for this toy drive). Thank you in advance for your generosity and bringing a smile to a child's face this holiday season!

November 2019Happy Fall/Winter!

Winter sure showed up fast this year, along with the many projects we have been working on here at Lily Lake! I’m always in the process of putting up new work from students, so please do take the chance to see what we’ve been working on. Art displays are currently along the 5th grade hallway and around the corner towards the music room! Below I have the current Quarter 2 themes.
