•To provide an appealing, delicious, nutrient enriched meal that satisfies the nutritional requirements as determined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)

•To help students and adults learn the value of a healthy lifestyle through the application of the PSD Wellness Policy

•Meal nutritional value is based on federal guidelines

•PSD implements a “Traditional Food-Based” menu and an “offer vs. serve” selection method

•The “offer vs. serve” method allows the student to choose items they like and reduces waste

accommodate special occasions• Menus are available at the school site, Child Nutrition

• Students are assigned a 6 digit personal identification number (PIN)

• Students enter their PIN number into the meal pay keypad in the cafeteria
