Enjoy one of the largest concentrated premier grizzly bear watching spots in the world, set amidst the snow-capped peaks of Canada’s rugged coastline.

Board the morning ferry to Vancouver Island and follow the beautiful North Island Highway past Campbell River for a three night stay in the marine community of Port McNeil at the Black Bear Resort.

The next day depart by boat for Knight Inlet located on the coastal mainland. View the grizzly bears in their natural surroundings in this spectacular inlet as they interact and feed in the estuary and on the beaches near the river. The pristine beauty of the area enhances this rare opportunity to view these magnificent grizzlies.

Set on the banks of the Bella Coola River and deep in the heart of the mid-coastal mountain range sits a hidden gem. The town of Bella Coola is close to the stunning and vast Tweedsmuir Park set within a lush valley and between stunning mountain ranges. Bella Coola thrives as a service hub to the tiny outer coastal communities and is a gateway to what is widely known as the Great Bear Rainforest – an area that stretches through the islands of the central, west coast of British Columbia. Remote, yet accessible by air, sea and road, Highway 20 connects the Bella Coola Valley to the interior of the province.
