CAD Skills Explanation

The mood boards featured within this portfolio where created using the Adobe Photoshop software. I wanted to portray the photographs used in a professional way, using the crop tool to only show the relevant part of the photograph. I arranged my photographs cohesively so the mood page is pleasant to the eye. I also used Photoshop to design the specification sheets, to give them a cohesive & professional finish. In Design was a successful tool within the portfolio, where I created the layout of each page, including the border, logo, titles & background image. Using this software made the pages look cohesive & professional. This software also enabled me to place text on the mood pages, to explain the photographs, target market, inspiration, & fabrics. Illustrator was an brilliant industry tool for the creation of the Paradise Park collection. As preparation for creating the final garments, I used my hand drawn illustrations as a template to create the final eight garments. I added design details, & colour to bring the garments to life. Illustrator was excellent for creating professional illustrations of the garments. The software enabled me to create curved lines, adding pattern elements, scallop detailing, complex specialised shapes, edges, stitching & cut out detailing to the garments to a high quality professional standard.
