GENESIS 3:6-10

“…she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.

And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. L Then the LORD God called to the man and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ And he said, ‘I heard the sound of Thee in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.’”

GENESIS 3: 11 - 15

“And He said, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?’ And the man said, ‘The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.’ Then the Lord God said to the woman, ‘What is this you have done?’ And the woman said, ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate. And the Lord God said to the serpent… ‘And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.’”

“And the LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them. Then the LORD God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of US, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever….’ Therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard the way to the tree of life.”

1. BACK IN THE GARDEN, GOD GAVE TO MANKIND A PROMISE, SO THERE WAS HOPE!

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heal.”

Genesis 3:15

“…He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise Him on the heel.”

THE HEEL BRUISE: THE HEAD BRUISE:

2. BACK IN THE GARDEN, GOD GAVE TO MAN A COVERING FOR MAN’S SHAME, SO THERE WAS GRACE!

3. BACK IN THE GARDEN, GOD GAVE TO MANKIND A PROTECTION, SO THERE WAS MERCY!

“…and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard the way to the tree of life.”

(Genesis 3:24)

PARADISE REGAINED!THE PROVISION!4. BACK IN THE GARDEN, GOD PROMISED TO GIVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, SO THERE WAS LOVE!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son….” John 3:16

5. BACK IN THE GARDEN, GOD HAD A PLAN TO REPLACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN AND DEATH WITH THE GIFT OF LIFE!

“Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Jn. 3:16

“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life….’” Jn. 6;35

“Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life….’” Jn. 14:6

“God has given to us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life….” I John 5:11,12

ASSURANCE OF HEAVEN STRENGTH FOR EACH DAY

BACK TO THE FUTUREBACK:

“…lest man stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever – therefore the LORD God sent him out of the Garden of Eden… He stationed the cherubim and flaming sword which turned in every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.” (Gen. 3:22, 24)

THE FUTURE:

“And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the lamb…. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall no longer be any curse….” (Revelation 22:1-3)

THE FUTURE AND NOW

“BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO WASH THEIR ROBES, THAT THEY MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO THE TREE OF LIFE, AND MAY ENTER THE GATES OF THE CITY….” (Revelation 22:14)

“AND THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY, ‘COME’ AND LET THE ONE WHO HEARS SAY ‘COME’. AND LET THE ONE WHO IS THIRSTY ‘COME’. LET THE ONE WHO WISHES TAKE THE WATER OF LIFE WITHOUT COST.” (Revelation 22:17)
