Introductions, please
Using an adjective with the
same letter as your first
name, go around the room
and introduce yourself to
as many people as you can
![Page 5: Paradigm shift.eirc.july 17.2013](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022042700/55955ed81a28ab0f658b45ac/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Lessons Learned
Who approached it with fun? Fidelity?
Would you ask your teachers to do
something you wouldn’t do?
How do you build community?
Did you feel uncomfortable?
It’s about the next time… what would
you do?
![Page 6: Paradigm shift.eirc.july 17.2013](https://reader033.fdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022042700/55955ed81a28ab0f658b45ac/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)

Problem Statement: McREL Walkthrough data shows that teachers are using the strategy Generating and
Testing Hypothesis 1.85% of their observed instructional time as compared to McREL’s recommendation of 11%
to ensure equal usage of all strategies. Failure to increase percentages in Generating and Testing Hypotheses
contributes to a negative perception of RM Bacon School.
SMART Goal: By May 2013, increase the observable use of the strategy Generating and Testing Hypotheses to
11% as evidenced by McREL Walkthrough data.

Let’s See how far you have grown
Everybody stand up and spread out at arms length Take your right arm, point directly in front of you
and rotate your body around to the right. Now focus on that point. With your arms down to your sides, turn just your
head as far to the right and turn your eyes to the left.
Slowly, bring your head back to center. Now look to the left and have eyes glance to right Then… Take your arm, point directly in front of you and
rotate your body around to the right. How far have you grown?
