Jesus Christ was the world's first tweeter because his pronouncements were

"brief and full of meaning", Vatican cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi told reporters on September 25th

at a conference with leading Italian Newspaper Reporters.

Christ "used tweets before everyone else,

with elementary phrases made up of fewer than

45 characters like 'Love one another'," said Ravasi,

the Vatican's equivalent of a culture minister.

Spirituality in Diet or the Tama of FoodSpirituality in Diet or the Tama of FoodSpirituality in Diet (or) The Tama of Food

There is a worldwide debate on agreeing the terms of spirituality involved with diet. This article tries to provide an insight into these discussions.

The 3 subtle components of universe are Sattva, Raja and Tama and these come out with significance through our diet.

Sattva characterises purity and knowledge; Raja characterises action and passion and Tama signifies Ignorance and inertia.

A study conducted by 'Spiritual Science Research Foundation' revealed the components presence in food as:

The reason for the increased Tama in meat after the animal dies is because of the extent of suffering when it is being killed.

Also the thoughts of anger and revenge in the animal are far more pronounced as compared to a plant which has a rudimentary mind and intellect.

Whatever may be the method of slaughtering involved it causes considerable effect. May be this is why certain religions practice offering prayers

to god before slaughtering. The Tama in meat also varies depending on the way the meat is cooked.

The Tama reduces significantly from raw meat to well cooked meat (The meat is completely cooked on the inside as well as outside).

There is also a completely scientific explanation relating to difference in digestion process of veg and non-veg foods.

As non-veg foods don't have high fibre content in them, the bowel transit time is much longer

and this also supplements increase in acidity level of the bowel. Thus, our own digestive system is being harmed in the process of digesting

non-veg foods which again add to the tama component. Will it be possible to reduce tama by turning into a vegan? Yes.

But it is possible over a span of 10-15 years based on the way he follows veganism and he carries out physical activities.

It has been found out that spiritual activities can also help in achieving this faster.

What so ever the case may be, chicken is always finger licking good…

CHOPSTICK, KK. NAGAR...contdAs we entered the hotel we encountered a rack of Bibles as a free takeaway for customers. The waiter guided us in table selection and we wereprovided with menu card for making orders.

As the chopstix restaurant has identified itself asMulti cuisine restaurant the items in the menu were ranging from Soups, Starters , Rice, Noodles, Lamb,Fish, Chicken, etc.

We ordered Lung-Fung soup, Egg fried rice and Chicken Blast which was labeled as Chopstix Delight.

Shredded Chicken in Barbeque Sauce

This marinated spicy chicken is another must try chicken at Chopstix.

It consists of long slender chicken pieces immersed in a barbeque sauce. The sauce was spicy enoughto make your noses rain.

The egg rice served in a bowl was ample enough to fill our stomach. However we could not commenton the totality of Hotel since it was our first visit andtried very few items on the menu we would recommend the readers to make their own ratingsafter visiting the Hotel once.

Happy Birthday PrathushaHappy Birthday PrathushaOctober 9th, 2013

It was pratusha’s birthday and tocelebrate her janam din, she hosted

a special feast for her team members of

Development immersion Program at Madurai Anjappar chettinad near

Mattudhavani Bus Stand.

During the course of treat Pratusha witnessed the bitter moment of truth. Her longtime belief that her friends were homo-sapiens and belong to

mother earth was thwarted and the following images from NASA

proved they were hardcore aliens who predate on chicken, crab, fish without any mercy.

Some of the images in the following page is not suitable for.Children below 12 years. Faint hearted readers

are advised to take appropriate preventive measuresbefore watching.

Mukesh Ambani forays into chicken business, to take on KFC

Mukesh Ambani forays into chicken business, to take on KFC

MUMBAI: Mukesh Ambani-controlled Reliance Industries plans to run an exclusive chicken restaurant chain in India in

partnership with a UK-based company as he seeks a bite of the quick service restaurant (QSR) pie, which is pegged to grow at

30% per annum.

Given that Ambani is a strict vegetarian, it is a clear sign that business decisions can be separated from an individual's

dietary and lifestyle choices.

The chain, to be called 'Chicken came First' will directly compete with KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), the world's most

popular chicken restaurant chain.

RIL has picked up a 45% equity stake in Two Sisters Foods India (TSFI), which belongs to 2 Sisters Food Group (2SFG).

2SFG, the third largest food company in UK, supplies poultry, red meat, fish, and bakery and chilled/frozen products to the

retail, food service and food manufacturing sectors.
